1. Contacts (READ_CONTACTS, WRITE_CONTACTS):

  • Purpose: The App provides a directory of college departments, faculty, administration, and emergency services. The contacts permission allows you to seamlessly save or export contact details from the App directly to your device’s address book and/or search contacts within the App.
  • Privacy Commitment: We do not upload, collect, sell, or transmit your personal device contacts or address book data to any external servers or third parties. All contact access is performed locally on your device solely for the functionality requested by you.

2. Internet Access & Network State (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE):

A. Device Permissions and Sensitive Information

  • Purpose: Used to fetch and update college directory data, emergency contact lists, department information, and verify active network connectivity for synchronization.

B. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

  • Local Storage / Caching (AsyncStorage): The App may store configuration preferences, cached directory listings, and offline access data locally on your device to ensure fast loading and offline functionality. This data remains on your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the App or clearing the App cache in your device settings.

C. Automatically Collected Information & Log Data

When you use the Application, certain standard technical data may be automatically generated for performance monitoring and troubleshooting:

  • Device type, model, and manufacturer
  • Operating system version (Android / iOS)
  • App version and session diagnostics / crash logs

This information is used strictly to diagnose crashes, maintain stability, and improve user experience.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure

We value your trust and do not sell, trade, rent, or monetize your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • You can remove all locally stored application data by clearing the app cache/data or by uninstalling the Application from your device.
